Waterhouse holds a Ph.D. in computer engineering from Cambridge University. Jay Freeman works alongside Waterhouse at Orchid, renowned for inventing Cydia, the jailbroken iPhone application. 

Gustav Simonsson, a former core developer at Ethereum, also contributes his expertise to the team. The Orchid team is united by a shared dedication to safeguarding user privacy, forming the foundation of their work on the Orchid Protocol. 

How does Orchid work?

The Orchid Protocol enables users who wish to join the Orchid Network to acquire OXT tokens. Users connect with bandwidth providers and pay for their services using OXT tokens. Once the payment is made, the user receives bandwidth from the provider. As part of the transaction, five OXT coins are sent to the bandwidth supplier as compensation for their services.
