What's private copy trading?

Private copy trading allows lead traders to share their trades privately and only allows invited users to copy trade. Lead traders are able to hide their lead trader profiles, configure unique invitation links and manage copy traders. Lead traders in private mode can also benefit from a higher profit-sharing ratio of up to 50% for copy traders who copy via invitation links.

How do I enable private copy trading?

1. Head to My lead trades > Settings and switch on the Private mode toggle

   

   Select the Private mode option

2. Select Confirm from the pop-up menu

   

   Proceed to turn on private mode

3. After enabling private mode, you can create unique invitation links for your copy traders

How do I invite copy traders?

1. Select the Create link option to generate a new invitation link

   

   Create the link for the invitation once the private mode is turned on

2. Fill in the following information:

   • Link name: to keep track of invitation links you create.

   • Copy trader limit: set the maximum number of copy traders that are allowed to use the invitation link. If the number of successful copy traders exceeds the limit, new copy traders will no longer be able to copy via that invitation link.

   • Invitation scope: set who can use this link to copy trades

     • Direct invitees: invitees that lead traders directly invited through the OKX Affiliate Program.

     • All invitees: both direct invitees and invitees invited by your sub-affiliates through the OKX Affiliate Program.

     • All traders: all copy traders, including those not invited via the OKX Affiliate program after configuring all above information.

3. Select Confirm to generate the invitation link. Use the Share option to share with your copy traders

   

   Generate the invitational link once you've filled up the details

How do I manage copy traders?

1. Select Manage copy traders to view all copy traders that are currently copying you

   

   Proceed to the Manage copy traders sections to see the list of your copy traders

2. You’re able to filter by:

   • Trader type

     • Direct invitees: invitees lead traders directly invited through the OKX Affiliate Program.

     • Indirect invitees: invitees invited by your sub-affiliates through the OKX Affiliate Program.

     • Non-invitees: copy traders who aren't invited through the OKX Affiliate Program.

   • Source

     • Invitation link: copy traders invited via invitation link created in private mode

     • Trader list: copy traders that copied via the trader list, leaderboard, or other channels

3. Search for copy traders via their nickname or UID

4. View copy trader information including investment amount, copy trader PnL, time copied, and profit-sharing ratio

   

   Filter your copy traders according to their details

5. Remove copy traders individually or in bulk using the bulk remove button
   Note: you'll be unable to remove copy traders who have existing copy trades. It's recommended that you close all your trades before removing copy traders

   

   Select those that you want to remove on the Remove traders page

How do I copy lead traders in private mode?

1. Obtain an invitation link from lead trader and select Copy in the pop-up menu

   

   Select Copy to proceed to the configuration phase

   Note: lead traders are able to view copy traders’ information, remove copy traders, and set a profit sharing ratio of 0-50%.
