Withdrawal of OKX HK's VASP license application

Dear Hong Kong customers,

After careful consideration of our business strategy, OKX HK has decided to withdraw its VASP license application at this time.

Accordingly, OKX must cease to provide centralized virtual asset trading services to Hong Kong residents by 31 May 2024 (Friday). Customer funds remain safe and withdrawal services will not be affected. After 31 May 2024, Hong Kong customers will only be able to withdraw.

OKX Web3 (self-hosted wallet) services are not affected and will remain available to Hong Kong users.

Please note:

  1. Do not deposit into your OKX account after 31 May 2024. Deposits made after 31 May 2024 (23:59:59 HKT) may not be automatically credited. Kindly contact our customer support at service@okx.com if needed.

  2. Any open orders that are not closed by 31 May 2024 (23:59:59 HKT) will be cancelled. The resulting funds will be transferred to your OKX account balance.

  3. You may withdraw assets from your OKX account to your self-custody wallet or your accounts on other third-party platforms between now and 31 August 2024 (23:59:59 HKT) (“Closure Date”). Your assets will remain safe in your OKX account until the Closure Date.

  4. After the Closure Date, you will not be able to initiate any request to directly withdraw or transfer assets from your OKX account. After the Closure Date, any remaining balances in your OKX account will be deemed as unclaimed property and we will treat them in accordance with our terms of use.
